L.I.F.E. Groups

Learning :: Intercession :: Fellowship :: Evangelism

The LIFE Group ministry is based on the pattern set by the early Church in Acts 2:43-47 (NKJV). The Church described in this passage continued "daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added daily those who were being saved."

This is a description of the body of Christ meeting in a church building and also using the homes of believers for worship, fellowship, and evangelism. At Covenant Life, it is our goal to have the early Church experience through times of corporate celebration (weekend services) and in LIFE groups (sometimes referred to as "cell" groups). The term LIFE is an acronym meaning "Loving Individuals through Fellowship and Evangelism."

LIFE groups are comprised of small homogeneous groups of people, ranging from elementary-aged children to adults, who meet in homes, businesses and restaurants across the city. The homogeneous groups are identified in regions as Covenant L.I.F.E. Groups.

All groups have common characteristics of worship, prayer, Bible study, body ministry, and outreaches to those that are unsaved or unchurched. In addition, LIFE groups will focus on leadership training and the process of growth through multiplication.
